I See Red, People

Just when I thought to be a mom couldn’t get any more glamorous, red fruit punch made it so. Leaky sippy cup plus cream silk equals a lovely shade of watermelon. Sounds sweet, right? Let me just say, if I wanted a watermelon-colored shirt, I would have purchased one. And just when this fashion faux pas passed, another one hit. Insult to injury in the form of a red sock accidentally put in with the whites. Don’t ask my husband about his favorite work shirt or his now-pink boxers. He’s not happy with me. He won’t be happy with you.

Seems the only way to guarantee complete and total color consistency in our home is to buy everything in red. Between juices, lipsticks (ask me about the time my daughter found my makeup drawer), and colorfast nonsense, we have yet to own something white that remains white.

Good thing this red Max & Lola shirt is so adorable. In fact, all baby clothes by Max & Lola are adorable! The boat neck and sleeveless style are great for a summer day. And the rich red and mesmerizing pattern is perfect for hiding oops, ugh, and why-did-you-do-that moments.

Of course, we’ll try to keep this clean and tidy. But we only have so much control over errant splashes and rogue red socks. As long as we know our laundry limitations, things will be fine. We’ll be in pink…or red.
