Suspenders and overalls have never really been on my “must have” radar for fashion. When I see them, I think of farmers, ‘70s game show hosts, and power players like stockbrokers. No offense to any of these groups. But even when I was pregnant, I denied the urge to break out a giant pair of men’s overalls to keep my bloated belly contained. I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. The time my husband came down the stairs wearing suspenders with his dress shirt, I quietly saved him by sending him back upstairs for a belt instead.
