I See You

One of my biggest fears is losing my daughter in a store. She’s at the age where she has her own agenda. That agenda, unfortunately, doesn’t always mean staying right next to me. She loves to explore. And those adventures are usually in a different aisle than mommy is.

Sometimes I miss those days where she was confined to an infant carrier. I would place her down, walk away (not super far, don’t worry), come back, and there she was. Right where I put her.

Nowadays when we go somewhere with crowds, I try to dress her as brightly as I can, just so I can keep track of her easily. That’s why I loved these fantastic plaid baby trousers by Opus. Even though they’re for those tiny babes (you know, those who stay put when you ask them to), the loud pattern is a delightfully happy display of look-at-me colors.

As if their loud screams and giggles aren’t enough to draw your attention to your little one, the tiny bright checks on these pants are anything but subtle. The cross patterns of primary colored plaids have some serious “I’m right here” appeal that just makes you smile.

As my daughter grows, I’m sure her height (which is in the 90 percentile) will become my focal point on finding her in the crowd. Until then, we’re pulling out the neon, little girl. Consider it your “see and be seen” fashion moment.
