Places to Visit in NYC: Brooklyn Bridge Park

If you’re in the city one of these upcoming weekends and looking for a fun way to spend a leisurely afternoon with your kids, head on over to Brooklyn Bridge Park! Now spanning over a mile of waterfront space, the park offers unbelievable views of the East River and Downtown Manhattan, as well as plenty of grass from which to view it. Plus, the park is full of things to do, especially in the summertime: there’s Jane’s Carousel, numerous playgrounds (including The Water Lab), kayaking, the farmer’s market, and even a Pop-Up Pool! The park also hosts lots of events throughout the year for you and your kids as well (Zumba, anyone?). So pick up a pizza, ice cream cone, or chocolate chip cookie, and settle in for the afternoon.
