Coming Soon: Petit Bateau X Satu Maaranen

Here’s a cool collaboration to look out for later this month: Petit Bateau is teaming up with up-and-coming Finnish designer Satu Maaranen, the 2013 winner of the Grand Prix du Jury at the Hyeres International Festival in the South of France to create a capsule collection for both women and children. It is the first in a three-year partnership between the festival and the classic French brand, where each designer will be given free rein to explore his or her own artistic vision while still remaining true to Petit Bateau’s classic aesthetic. From the looks of it, Maaranen certainly succeeds at this, by giving Petit Bateau’s classic Breton tops, dresses, and tops slightly updated silhouettes and a fresh dose of color. The collection launches April 29th in Petit Bateau boutiques worldwide and will be available for babies, kids, and adults.
